There was great activity and excitement in Glaslough over the weekend of June 24-26 when judging took place in the prestigious Communities in Bloom international competition. Judges Susan Ellis and Alex Pearl from the Communities in Bloom accompanied by Bernadette Solan CIB and Tidy Towns judge and mentor, along with Brendan Mahon, John Carney, and Helen Murray from the National Tidy Towns Unit of the Department of Rural and Community Development came to the North Monaghan village to assess and judge the community efforts as part of the contest in which Glaslough is representing Ireland.
