MINISTER HUMPHREYS OPENS NEW RECEPTION CENTRE AT DUBLIN AIRPORT FOR UKRAINIAN PEOPLE
Minister for Social Protection Heather Humphreys TD was at Dublin Airport yesterday, Wednesday to formally open a new reception centre for Ukrainian People who have fled the Russian invasion. Minister Humphreys greeted some of the arrivals who flew into Dublin Airport to seek refuge. With the help of an interpreter, Minister Humphreys was told some of the heart-breaking stories by Ukrainian nationals who have escaped the war.
The Minister shared an embrace with one elderly woman, Valentina Roman, who travelled from war-torn Ukraine. And in her capacity as Minister for Social Protection, Minister Humphreys formally presented some of those arriving with their PPS Numbers. Commenting on the Ukraine situation, Minister Humphreys said: “For the past two weeks now, thousands of families have suffered unthinkable heartache and grief – losing loved ones at the hands…
