GRADUATE JOBS DREAM MOVES CLOSER AS CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON MONAGHAN BIOCONNECT RESEARCH FACILITY
The long-held ambition of significant high-value graduate employment being available on the doorstep of Co Monaghan third level students moved a step closer to realisation on Monday with a formal ceremony to mark the commencement of construction of the BioConnect Research and Innovation Centre at Knockaconny on the outskirts of Monaghan Town.
“Once complete, the new research centre will create hundreds of skilled jobs locally and will drive collaboration, innovation and research that will ensure Co Monaghan has a competitive advantage and will be at the cutting edge of food research nationally and internationally,” stated Minister for Rural and Community Development and Minister for Social Protection Heather Humphreys.
