CO MONAGHAN FARMERS JOIN REGIONAL IFA PROTEST OVER CAP REFORMS AND CLIMATE STRATEGY

A large number of Co Monaghan farmers travelled to Cavan on Friday last to take part in one of four regional rallies organised by the IFA to highlight concerns over reforms to the Common Agricultural Policy and climate change measures being contemplated by the Government which the sector fears could undermine farm viability.

The early morning protest saw a cavalcade of factors and other agricultural transport vehicles wend its way to Cavan Courthouse.
