“SUSPEND JUDGEMENT” APPEAL AS WORK AT MONAGHAN TOWN ROUNDABOUT DRAWS CRITICISM

Members of Monaghan Co Council who expressed criticism at their meeting on Monday of the nature of the works currently taking place at the Margaret Skinnider Roundabout in Monaghan Town were requested by the local authority’s Director of Transportation Services Patricia Monahan to “suspend judgement” on the project until it was completed. The works, designed to improve pedestrian safety at the confluence of the Broad Road, Clones Road and Park Street on the N54 in the town, were currently “on programme” but were expected to take until the end of September before they were fully completed, the management report circulated at Monday’s meeting stated.
