BYE-LAWS COVER OUTDOOR ALCOHOL SERVICE BY LICENSED PREMISES IN CO MONAGHAN, JPC INFORMED

Bye-laws adopted by Monaghan Co Council last year made provision for the current outdoor serving of alcohol by licensed premises if the necessary licence had been obtained and did not have to be amended, Co Council Director of Services Cathal Flynn told Tuesday’s meeting of the Co Monaghan Joint Policing Committee. Mr Flynn was responding by references to the members to issues which had arisen in other parts of the country regarding the legal entitlement of some licensed premises to serve alcohol in outdoor settings as part of the gradual easing of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.
