Farney alert to big Donegal threat after loss to Armagh

Monaghan’s Allianz National Football League Division One North campaign doesn’t get any easier, as they face a trip to Ballybofey to face a confident Donegal side this Saturday. These teams experienced contrasting fortunes on the long-awaited opening weekend of the 2021 season, with Donegal taking full points from a high-quality encounter away to Tyrone, while Monaghan left the neutral ground of Enniskillen emptyhanded after falling short against Division One newcomers Armagh. Monaghan will need an improved performance if they are to get off the mark in this condensed campaign and they certainly can’t afford any repeat of the very slow opening that saw them afford Armagh a six-point head-start.
