LIVING WITH MORE COVID RESTRICTIONS

Fresh tributes were paid to the frontline staff and emergency service workers as well as Council staff during Monday’s meeting at the Courthouse in Clones of Ballybay Clones Muncipal District. The duration of the meeting (one hour and 55 minutes) was strictly limited and Covid-19 precautions including physical distancing and the wearing of face masks on entry to the building were in place in accordance with local authority guidelines. Opening the meeting, Cathaoirleach Cllr Seamus Coyle said these were strange times for all, as was demonstrated in the room they were meeting in.

“We think at this time of those suffering from the virus, those who are in isolation, those who are hospitalised and those who are concerned about family members that have been affected. We remember our frontline workers and the excellent service they have given at great peril to themselves.” He quoted the case of a Monaghan woman who worked at Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan and who had to stay in local bed…
