Monaghan woman Tara Gilsenan has resigned as Chairperson of the youth wing of the Green Party. Ms Gilsenan, who is from Castleshane, announced her resignation as the leader of the Young Greens organisation in a letter published jointly on social media this week with Tiernan Mason, who has left the post of leader of the gay rights organisation affiliated with the party, the Queer Greens. The pair claimed that their views were being ignored by the party leadership and made bullying allegations against elements within the Green hierarchy.
