As we all come to terms with being in Level 5 restrictions for the next number of weeks it is vitally important that we try to take time out of our busy days to be active for a minimum of at least 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity. Ensuring we get the recommended level of physical activity daily can have profound benefits on our physical health and mental wellbeing. We encourage everybody to continue to get outdoors when possible, even if only for a short time during the day as this can help relieve some of the stresses and anxiety the Covid-19 pandemic has put on us. Getting out and getting active even for short bursts during the day can provide a welcome distraction for all the family. We appreciate the difficulties this currently presents; travel restrictions, shorter days, longer nights, cold and wet weather, as well as the continued presence of covid- 19 in our communities. With this in mind, we at Monaghan Sports Partnership have been working hard with local fitness and exercise specialists to develop a programme of activities, which will be delivered live online over a 6 week period commencing on Monday the 2nd of November. We have put together a comprehensive programme of activities with everybody in mind, aimed at all ages and all abilities.
