INTERCONNECTOR: NOTHING CHANGES WITH NORTH PLANNING APPROVAL SAYS COUNCILLOR COYLE

The granting of planning permission in Northern Ireland for the North-South electricity interconnector project has not increased the likelihood of the controversial development proceeding in it is current form as public opposition along the planned route remained as steadfast as ever. This was stated yesterday by Fianna Fáil member of Monaghan Co Council Seamus Coyle, who has occupied a prominent position in the campaign to have the interconnector project implemented using underground infrastructure.
