You see them here. You see them there. You now see them almost everywhere. From Monday, face masks or coverings became the new norm, to be worn in the interests of public health and not treated as a fashion accessory. If you went shopping anywhere in the county, then the wearing of face masks was mandatory in retail outlets including supermarkets and shopping centres. Previously public transport was the one area where the coverings were compulsory.
