Jasper from Smithborough has been Reunited with his Owner

It’s a long, long way from Smithborough to Letterkenny, over 100km, especially for a dog! A Co. Monaghan dog has now been happily reunited with his owner after the animal was discovered wandering the streets of the Co. Donegal town earlier this month. Jasper is a 12 year-old black and white shih tzu dog, belonging to Cormac Connolly. Dog lover Tess McLoughlin from Letterkenny found the stray dog and posted an image of Jasper on Facebook.

Last week, Cormac Connolly made the 120 kilometre trip to Co. Donegal with his daughter and three grandchildren to collect his beloved family pet. “Maybe this will give some other people hope and solace that they too will find their missing pets,” he said. Cormac was originally unsure…
