TÚS AND RSS HELPING TO KEEP MONAGHAN LOOKING BEAUTIFUL

Over the years with the support of Monaghan Integrated Development CLG, “Community Groups including Tidy Town groups throughout Monaghan have been aided and assisted by the placement of participants from the Rural Social Scheme and the Tús Initiative who have helped develop, enhance and maintain their community’s local area. The Tús Initiative is a Community Work Placement Scheme that provides shortterm working opportunities for unemployed people and the Rural Social Scheme provides ‘off the farm’ working opportunities to farmers who in turn provide services to rural communities.

The participants skills and abilities vary greatly and they take on quality work opportunities that benefit the work of the Community and Tidy Town groups. Tús & RSS participants that have been placed to date in their allocated community groups are very positive about their experiences and take pride in how they have contributed, likewise the Community and Tidy Town groups have given positive feedback and…
