CO MONAGHAN SCHOOLS ‘SHINE BRIGHT AS A DIAMOND’ AT NATIONAL ROAD SAFETY COMPETITION

Following on from their success in 2019, first class students from Corracrin National School have once again been awarded overall winners of the Road Safety Authority’s national ‘Seatbelt Sheriff’ competition for 2020, for their wonderful poster ‘Before you go out for a drive. Buckle up and stay alive!’ taking home a prize of €2,000 for their class. There was also success for Scoil Éanna in Ballybay who finished as runners up in the High-Glo Silver’ category with their “Shine as Bright as a Diamond’ entry taking home a prize of €500 for their class. Now in their 16th year, the Seatbelt Sheriff and Hi-Glo Silver Awards provide first and second class pupils with a fun and creative way to learn important road safety skills.
