NEW RECTOR APPOINTED TO NEWTOWNBUTLER AND DRUMMULLY PARISHES

The Reverend Lorraine Capper, part-time stipendiary minister of Donagh (Glaslough), Tyholland and Errigal Truagh in the Clogher Church of Ireland Diocese, has been appointed Rector of Galloon (Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh), Sallaghy and Drummully (Co. Monaghan) group of parishes. St Mary’s church in the Drummully salient near Clones celebrated its 175th anniversary last November.
Most of its parishioners live in Co. Fermanagh. Reverend Lorraine, who is married to Reverend Alan Capper, Rector of Lisnaskea Parish, was ordained ten years ago and since then has served as Curate at St Columba’s Parish Church, Omagh, provided pastoral cover and led services in vacant parishes throughout Clogher Diocese, as well taking on archival roles.
