HOSPITAL PROMISES SHOULD NOT BE FORGOTTEN IN GOVERNMENT FORMATION TALKS – HAGAN

The promises made by all the major political parties in relation to the improvement of hospital and health services should not be forgotten – and should not be compromised – in the current process of talks aimed at forming a new Government. This was stated this week by local issues campaigner and Monaghan Hospital activist Tommy Hagan.

In a statement to the Northern Standard, Mr Hagan called on Sinn Féin, Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael, and the smaller political groupings who would be engaged in discussions with them in the coming weeks, to make the restoration of services to smaller hospitals like Monaghan a red line issue when it came to agreeing any future programme for government. “SF, FF and FG all have promises and commitments….
