A detailed report on the measures being taken by Monaghan Co Council to makes its operations more energy efficient and to progress the LED revamp of the county’s public lighting network was presented to Monday’s meeting of the local authority. The Co Council was on course to hit or exceed its 2020 target of achieving a 33% improvement in energy efficiency,

Vincent McKenna informed the meeting, and was currently 3.02% ahead of target. But it would have a series of other targets and objectives to achieve over the course of the coming decade in relation to energy efficiency and energy reduction, climate action and the reduction of carbon emissions.
