ANGER AMONGST CHILDCARE WORKERS PALPABLE AS NATIONAL PROTEST TAKES PLACE

Childcare is a hot topic ahead of General Election 2020, which takes place this Saturday, so that is why childcare services all over Ireland closed yesterday (Wednesday) to march to Dáil Éireann. The management and staff of Carrickmacross Community Childcare added their voices to the National Early Years Protest. It is understood that most of the facilities within County Monaghan took part.

The thousands upon thousands of childcare professionals who downed tools, did so to make a point. Their demands included: more recognition, better pay and conditions, incentives for further education, lower insurance premiums and affordability to parents.

EARLY YEARS ALLIANCE
