Carthy calls on FF to lobby sdlp to stop overhead power lines

Sinn Féin MEP Matt Carthy has called on Fianna Fáil to use their influence with their sister-party in the North, the SDLP, to ensure the North/South Interconnector project is halted. In the North, the Department of Infrastructure approved planning permission for the project in January 2018 but due to the fact that there was no Minister in office at the time to officially approve the permission, the project has been stalled in legal argument since.
