CAVAN DRUG AWARENESS SERVICE IN “PERILOUS FINANCIAL SITUATION” – Ó CAOLÁIN

Cavan Monaghan Dáil Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin has again pressed the need for a substantial increase in funding to the Cavan Drug Awareness Trust that operates a key service on Cavan town’s Farnham Road.

The Sinn Féin Deputy, supporting a Fianna Fáil Bill that addressed the issue of children being used to supply and sell drugs, urged the Minister of State David Stanton, in attendance on behalf of the Minister for Justice and Equality, to heed the repeated appeals of Dáil members for Government to recognise the fault lines in the rollout and operation of the new National Drugs Strategy.
