Six Route Options for the Ardee to Castleblayney Scheme

The newly formed N2 Ardee to Castleblayney Concerned Residents Group are urging people in the south Monaghan and north Louth region to make a submission to consultation led by Monaghan County Council on the new road and upgrade proposals, which form Ardee to Castleblayney N2 scheme. Monaghan County Council in partnership with Louth County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) are developing the project in order to upgrade a 32km section of the N2/A5 Dublin to Derry Road.

“Some of the proposed route options from Monaghan County Council and the consultant engineers Jacobs, if successful, could have a significant negative impact on people’s land, homes and livelihoods for generations to come, not to mention the division of several close-knit communities and the impact on the environment.
