The long-awaited ground rents legislation to give some leaseholders in Carrickmacross the opportunity to acquire the freehold of their business premises on the west side of the Main Street is about to reach the final stage in the Oireachtas. Once it is has been finally agreed by the Seanad, it will be sent to the President for enactment.
