County rivals tog out for Elaine Tate fund

This Sunday Monaghan have their first official outing under recently appointed manager Seamus McEnaney when they take on Cavan in Clones in a senior football challenge game that has been organised as part of the fundraising drive for Elaine Tate of Rockcorry.

There have been various fundraising events for this particular project, the most recent being a tea organised by the Blackhill club which raised in the region of €3000. Sunday’s game affords Seamus McEnaney the chance to run the rule over some of the players he has called into the panel as he prepares for the upcoming Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup which gets under way on Sunday December 29th and with Monaghan and Cavan coming out of the hat together for next years Ulster senior football championship it will add a little…
