CHINESE COMPANY PLANS TO CREATE 60 JOBS IN CARRICKMACROSS

Chinese baby formula manufacturer Newbaze, which will trade as IreLiffey Nutrition, celebrated its grand opening in style on Monday morning in the company of Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Ireland Mr. He Xiangdong. This €20 million investment in the plant (formerly Bose) in the IDA Industrial Estate, Carrickmacross will lead to the initial creation of thirty jobs, with a view to creating an additional thirty in time.

It is hoped that recruitment will start in May. This is the first time the company has ever invested in a manufacturing facility outside China and Ireland was selected because of its thriving dairy industry.
