A strong appeal was made at Monday’s meeting of Monaghan Co Council for the provision of support and guidance services in the area of relationships and mental health for young people in their early years of second level education. The appeal gained force by being made by young people themselves – representatives of the Comhairle na nÓg youth council – and deriving from a findings of a survey in which teenagers had the opportunity to articulate their problems and challenges.
