ALL-IRELAND SENIOR LADIES CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL
Donaghmoyne, the kingpins of Ulster, will cross swords with Mourneabbey, the kingpins of Munster this Sunday in the All-Ireland Ladies Senior Football Club Championship semi-final at Clyda Rovers GAA headquarters (1pm). The Cork crew – who claimed the All- Ireland title last year – have lorded matters down in the deep south for longer than most observers of ladies’ football can rightly remember. In fact, the Shane Ronayne- managed crew just recently made it six-in-a-row of blue riband provincial title by seeing off the challenge of Waterford outfit Ballymacarbry by 2-18 to 4-8.
The reward for the winners is a crack at Ulster winners Donaghmoyne at the All- Ireland semi-final stage, in what will be a repeat of the 2015 Final.
