CONSULTATIONS CONTINUE ON PROPOSED N2 ROAD SCHEMES IN CO. MONAGHAN SCHEME FOR A5 IN TYRONE WILL GO TO PLANNING ENQUIRY

Six proposed routes for a major upgrade of the N2 national road between Castleblayney and Ardee, Co. Louth have gone on display this week for public consultation. On Tuesday, the project details were shown in Carrickmacross at the Nuremore Hotel and yesterday they were on public display at the Glencarn Hotel in Castleblayney. The consultants from Jacobs are also available today at the parish centre in Ardee from 2pm and 8pm.

The N2 is the main link road between Dublin and Derry and Letterkenny in the north west. A Sinn Féin Councillor urged people in south Monaghan to make their views known on the six proposed routes, especially if they live in any of the affected townlands.
