Scotstown kept their ‘drive for five’ alive and qualified for their seventh consecutive SFC Final when they won their replay against Ballybay in Clones last Saturday. The holders had to come from seven points down to salvage a draw the previous weekend, but they led for most of this replay after stepping up their performance level.

Both teams made one change from the drawn game, with Scotstown (who were boosted by the availability of Damien McArdle; cleared to play despite having been sent off late on in the first game) recalling Jack McDevitt to mark Paul Finlay, which saw Frank Caulfield miss out on the starting line-up for just the second time during their ‘drive for five’.
