MONAGHAN CAMERA CLUB TRIP TO POLAND

At a meeting last year Karolina Biezunska suggested that the club consider a photography weekend to her home country of Poland. A small committee consisting of John Nutley, Ryan Coyle, Brendan Mc Crudden and Karolina was formed and the fruits of their labour saw twenty four members and friends descend on the city of Bydgoszcz two weekends ago.

With a population of 350, 000 the city is the eighth largest in Poland and is located on the Brda and Vistula rivers. Bydgoszcz is an architecturally rich city and with Karolina leading the way the photographic opportunities over the weekend were immense.

On Tuesday night last several members of the travelling party presented images from their trip which made those of us who didn’t travel very envious. The variety and colour of the images was fantastic. The weekend went without a hitch thanks to the brilliant advance organisation. Karolina played a blinder and as well as ensuring the photo opportunities were plentiful…
