Scotstown survived a real scare in this at times tense local derby game in Clontibret last Sunday afternoon, fighting back initially to force extra time and then surviving a penalty shootout when the sides were still deadlocked after twenty plus hectic minutes to keep their undefeated senior football championship run intact. This is a game that Truagh will look back on though as one that they were in a strong position to push for victory, but just failed to push it over the line. It is a game though where they can take a lot of positives into the next round given how they managed their game for long periods, funnelling back into defence in numbers when required and breaking quickly, while also capitalising very effectively on loose play …
