The government is committed to achieving a lasting peace on the island and will not allow the despicable actions of those who planted a bomb near Wattlebridge recently to deter that aim, according to the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD. She was speaking at a PEACE IV programme event at the Cavan County Museum in Ballyjamesduff on Sunday.

She told a gathering that included former servicemen from the Irish Defence Forces and Northern Ireland that in the border region, people were acutely aware of the uncertainty arising from Brexit.
