THREE-YEAR MONAGHAN AND CAVAN PLANS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE LAUNCHED

THE first ever Children and Young People’s Plans for Cavan and for Monaghan were launched in Cootehill’s Errigal Hotel on Friday morning last, and over the next three years they will seek to have all the relevant services agencies working on behalf of youth to interact in a more coordinated way to deliver various actions that are aimed at “improving outcomes” for younger people.

The separate action Plans for Cavan and Monaghan will seek to address gaps in provision and areas of concern for children and young people. They will prioritise actions over the coming three years, which will foster continuous collaboration between agencies on a range of actions aimed at improving outcomes for children and young people. Behind the plans were the ‘Children and Young People’s Services Committees’ for both counties, which are using the acronym ‘CYPSC’ — and encouraging people refer to this verbally with the pronunciation “sip-see” in a bid…
