MONAGHAN CO. COUNCIL ‘RELENTS’ AS… CARRICK ‘HOUSING AID’ SAGA CONTINUES

A MAJOR housing development group in Carrickmacross claimed yesterday (Wed) there was a welcome change in the stance of Monaghan County Council in relation to the availability of Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) for tenants seeking accommodation in the attractive South Monaghan scheme.

According to a statement from the Lough Na Glack Housing Development Committee there was a warm welcome for the action by the Council in relenting on a prior refusal to make the government’s housing aid scheme available to tenants.
