Some seventy frontline canvassers attended the Sinn Féin Monaghan Electoral Area meeting in the Four Seasons Hotel on Monday night where they were addressed by the four Sinn Féin candidates standing in the Monaghan Municipal District elections to Monaghan County Council on Friday 24th May. The meeting was chaired by Dáil Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin.

In his opening address Deputy Ó Caoláin welcomed the turn-out and commended the candidates and attendees on their preparations for the County Council contest and the conduct of their campaign to date. Reaffirming the party’s strategy to allow an equal chance for all nine Sinn Féin candidates across the county’s three electoral areas to succeed, he gave a detailed account of how the campaign should proceed over the remaining five weeks…
