HUGE PROBE UNDER WAY AFTER ATM RAID GANG STRIKES IN CASTLEBLAYNEY

A major garda investigation continued in Castleblayney yesterday (Wed) after an ATM cash machine was ripped from the front of the AIB branch in the town’s Main Street during the early hours of the morning and an undisclosed amount of cash taken.

The raid on the Castleblayney AIB cash machine was the latest in a series of similar raids on both sides of the border. Gardaí were alerted to the theft from the front wall and window of the bank at around 3 a. m and came across a John Deere tractor and a trailer blocking York Street as they rushed to the Main Street location.
