The President of the European Council Donald Tusk has said the EU27 will make no new offer concerning Brexit to the British Prime Minister Theresa May when she visits Belgium today. He was speaking at a joint news conference with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar in Brussels. Mr Tusk commented on twitter: “I’ve been wondering what that special place in hell looks like, for those who promoted Brexit, without even a sketch of a plan how to carry it out safely.” Mr Varadkar was picked up on a microphone suggesting to Mr Tusk that: “they’ll give you terrible trouble in the British press for that.” “I know,” Mr Tusk replied.

Mr Tusk said the EU27 had decided in December that the Withdrawal Agreement was not open for renegotiation.
