STRONG MONAGHAN TURN-OUT AT BORDER BREXIT PROTEST

A strong contingent of Co Monaghan people were among the hundreds who assembled at the old Dundalk-Newry road at Carrickcarnon on Saturday last to participate in a protest event over the prospect of the return of a hard Border after Brexit.

Campaign group Border Communities Against Brexit organised the event, which featured mock Customs checkpoints and other representations designed to conjure images of what the return of Border infrastructure might mean for communities in its hinterland.
