MINISTER HUMPHREYS MEETS LOCAL BUSINESSES AT MAJOR TRADE SHOW FOR THE CRAFTS AND DESIGN SECTOR

Heather Humphreys, Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, has met with local businesses at Showcase, one of the country’s largest international trade shows. The annual event is funded by the Minister’s Department through the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland with support from Enterprise Ireland and the Local Enterprise Offices. Minister Humphreys said: “It was my pleasure and privilege to officially open Showcase, one of the country’s largest international trade shows, which is funded by my Department.

“It was great to meet with local businesses including Louise Loughman, Liz Christie, Benny Magennis of WhackPack Furniture and Jessica Kavanagh of Olann, as well as Monaghanborn designer, Natalie Coleman. “Monaghan and Cavan are bursting with talent and creativity and these business are doing us proud in the RDS this week. “The annual event attracts buying teams from 2,580 retailers from across the world, including Ireland, the UK, USA, Mainland Europe and the Far East, generating sales…
