Monaghan Town became Foodie Heaven last weekend as the annual Taste of Monaghan festival exerted a magnetic attraction on the public. Thousands of gourmands and gastro buffs filed through the commodious tented enclave in the town centre from Friday through to Sunday to sample the delights of a dizzying array of food retailers and producers from across the county and beyond, and watched spellbound as a gallery of local and TV celebrity chefs worked their culinary magic.
