It took extra time to decide the outcome in this riveting Greenfield Foods Senior Footall Championship contest that was in the balance right through, although Castleblayney might look back and see that they had slightly the better of the chances to seal the issue in normal time. That said though Clontibret struck decisively when the late opportunity arose, a goal in the 4th minute of the second period of extra time effectively sealing the issue.
