‘DON’T POUR YOUR DREAMS AWAY’ CAMPAIGN TO TARGET YOUNGER STUDENTS

The annual ‘Don’t Pour Your Dreams Away’ campaign is to adopt a future focus on first and second year second-level students to reflect the fact that young people are encountering the temptations of alcohol at an earlier age, Tuesday morning’s meeting of the Co Monaghan Joint Policing Committee was told.

A photo-call at the outset of the meeting provided an official launch to this year’s initiative, which was conceived as a means of countering over-indulgence in drink by students celebrating their Junior Certificate results but which has evolved over the years into an awareness-raising and educational resource of wider reach about the dangers of alcohol misuse.
