There were juvenile final wins for the footballers of Donaghmoyne, Tyholland (on the double), Killeevan and Éire Óg in the last week. Donaghmoyne needed extra-time to win Tuesday’s Manor Farm U-15 Football Championship Division One Final against Monaghan Harps in Drumhowan.

Hugh Murnaghan and Gerry and Kyle Finnegan (Donaghmoyne) and Jamie Coyle and Jake Power (Harps) were among the scorers in a closely-contested first half that ended with the town side 1-5 to 0-7 up, thanks to a brilliant goal from Nathan Lavery. A deflected goal edged Donaghmoyne ahead midway through the second half, but Lavery and Liam Conway helped the Harps draw level at the end of the hour at 1-11 apiece …
