ROADS MINISTER’S VISIT DISMISSED AS “PR EXERCISE”

A brief stopover by Roads Minister Shane Ross in Carrickmacross on Tuesday to be briefed on the state of local and regional roads has been slammed by local Councillors as a “PR exercise” and “boxticking”. Minister Ross had been invited last month by Fianna Fáil Senator Robbie Gallagher to visit the county and to see for himself the poor condition of the roads.
