BREXIT PLANS IN CHAOS

Britain’s plans for withdrawal from the European Union next year have been thrown into turmoil with the resignation of two senior Cabinet members, Brexit Secretary David Davis and the Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson. Both were advocates of a hard border and became standard bearers for a decisive break with the EU. On Friday, a Cabinet meeting at Chequers agreed a plan to seek a close economic relationship with the EU and to retain large parts of EU regulation. But 48 hours later, Mr Davis parted company with the Prime Minister….
