SCOTSTOWN’S WARREN SCOOPS MAJOR PRIZE AT NATIONAL STUDENT ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARDS

DkIT engineering student Warren Stevely (22) of Scotstown has been announced as the winner of the Cruickshank Intellectual Property Attorneys’ High Achieving Merit Award at the recent Enterprise Ireland Student Entrepreneur Awards 2018. Warren is a fourth-year student on the BA (Hons) in Engineering Entrepreneurship in DkIT and was awarded the prize for his project ‘Acidose 1’, a device which was designed in accordance with new EU regulations aimed at eliminating the use of antibiotics in the poultry industry.
