CASTLESHANE WOMAN AGAIN ORDERED TO ALLOW “BELOVED FAMILY PET” BE PUT DOWN

A CASTLESHANE WOMAN has been given one last chance to hand her beloved German Shepherd over to Monaghan Co Council to be put down, after another instalment in a longrunning case was heard at Monday’s sitting of Monaghan District Court. The case had its beginnings at the court May in 2016, when Lorraine Hall of Lisaginney, Castleshane had been summoned for failing to keep proper control of a dog that was worrying sheep at Lisaginney on 20th January of that year. Mr Frank McManus, her neighbour, had given evidence of how the German Shepard (Alsatian) in question had caused his sheep to be “scattered all over the place” on that occasion.
