Search continues for missing golden eagle

The search was continuing yesterday evening for ‘Boru’, the two and-
a-half-year-old golden eagle that went missing during a falconry
display at the Castle Leslie Estate in Glaslough last Thursday (14th
June).

The bird’s owner, Brian McCann of Newgrange Falconry told the
Northern Standard yesterday evening that he believed it most likely
that Boru was still in the general hinterland of the Leslie estate, as there
were lots of big trees that would provide him with ideal cover.
A sighting in the local area ….
