TEACH NA NDAOINE GROUP ALSO WIN A NATIONAL AWARD

Three County Monaghan groups have won national awards at a major environmental competition in Dublin sponsored by UNESCO. One of them is the Sliabh Beagh Protectors from Urbleshanny National School in Scotstown. They won the People’s Choice award, which was decided by online voting on a website in which over 11,000 votes were counted. The other two winners were a team from Teach na nDaoine in Monaghan for their ‘eco-fairy friendly forest’ along a stretch of the Ulster Canal Greenway and Castleblayney Youth Café who came first in the community development junior section …
