Coin designs by two Monaghan students have been selected as regional winners in a competition to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Central Bank. Lorcan Stephenson from St Mary’s Boys National School on St Mary’s Hill in Monaghan Town and Lauren McKenna of the St Louis Secondary School on the town’s Glen Road were winners in the Connacht/Ulster category of a student art competition to design a commemorative coin inspired by people or events.
